THE NOWHERE KINGS

The summer you try to escape your life is the one that defines it.

“We were kids—secretly dyin’ to grow up and too dumb to know how great we had it.”

— Ezra Seckinger

Overview

In the forgotten town of Nowhere, Oklahoma, a group of restless teenagers stumble upon a locked suitcase bearing the name “Cooper.” Inside is a map pointing to what they believe is part of the infamous D.B. Cooper ransom. Hungry for escape—from grief, poverty, and the futures laid out for them—they set off on a reckless journey to find the money and buy their way out of Nowhere. But they’re not the only ones looking. A desperate ex-FBI agent, a local deputy with ties to one of the kids, and the threat of real violence begin to close in as the group ventures deeper into the wilderness. What starts as an adventure turns into a test of loyalty, identity, and survival. By the time the truth behind the suitcase reveals itself, the kids are forced to confront a brutal reality: getting out isn’t as simple as finding the money.
